A natural-born nomad I'm now living in Peterborough, Ontario working at a daily newspaper. I love my career and can't wait to see where it takes me. I like to say I'm from everywhere. I've moved across the country three times in four years. I started off in Fernie, B.C., then to Calgary, a wild trip up to a freezing hell known as Fort McMurray, then it was back to Calgary before heading to Toronto and then to Picton. I recently returned to my Alberta roots when living in Medicine Hat. My favourite things in the world are the Beatles, pizza, coffee and my VW. I haven't seen my natural hair colour in 12 years and I always seem to need more shoes. I'm a journalist who specializes in absolutely everything. Before embarking on a 'real' career I was an accomplised waitress. I have a weakness for musicals, pizza, bad chick movies and 80s hair metal. Today I leave Picton. Woo-Hoo, or as we say in Alberta Yee-Haw!
I will only miss the nearby beach and my local coffee shop. I will miss Toronto a lot, but I may turn this into another post.
Blogging will be sparse in the coming weeks as I drive across the country and get settled in Medicine Hat.

A couple of weeks? You've obviously been in Ontario too long if you think we're THAT far away...
The couple weeks is to cover the drive and the likely time it will take to set up internet etc.
You seem to forget what a pain in the ass moving really is.
