A natural-born nomad I'm now living in Peterborough, Ontario working at a daily newspaper. I love my career and can't wait to see where it takes me. I like to say I'm from everywhere. I've moved across the country three times in four years. I started off in Fernie, B.C., then to Calgary, a wild trip up to a freezing hell known as Fort McMurray, then it was back to Calgary before heading to Toronto and then to Picton. I recently returned to my Alberta roots when living in Medicine Hat. My favourite things in the world are the Beatles, pizza, coffee and my VW. I haven't seen my natural hair colour in 12 years and I always seem to need more shoes. I'm a journalist who specializes in absolutely everything. Before embarking on a 'real' career I was an accomplised waitress. I have a weakness for musicals, pizza, bad chick movies and 80s hair metal. I know this isn't something that only happens to me. But how is it possible that in the same night I can make a perfectly roasted chicken and then burn the crap out of microwave popcorn?
Welcome to my world, the hard stuff seems easy and the easy stuff seems hard (I almost always burn microwave popcorm).

Until you explode cheese sandwiches in a rotating plate microwave so the mess gets on all sides,.... this means you still have some time before you too become a part of the "culinary impaired".
