A natural-born nomad I'm now living in Peterborough, Ontario working at a daily newspaper. I love my career and can't wait to see where it takes me. I like to say I'm from everywhere. I've moved across the country three times in four years. I started off in Fernie, B.C., then to Calgary, a wild trip up to a freezing hell known as Fort McMurray, then it was back to Calgary before heading to Toronto and then to Picton. I recently returned to my Alberta roots when living in Medicine Hat. My favourite things in the world are the Beatles, pizza, coffee and my VW. I haven't seen my natural hair colour in 12 years and I always seem to need more shoes. I'm a journalist who specializes in absolutely everything. Before embarking on a 'real' career I was an accomplised waitress. I have a weakness for musicals, pizza, bad chick movies and 80s hair metal. Christmas starts on Friday! No, I haven't gone completely insane, but my Christmas is this weekend. My crazy parents are going away for a few months and this was the closest to Christmas we could get. I'm normally one of those people who screams at the idea of any mention of Christmas before December, but I have a feeling that this year I may dislike the mention of Christmas in December.
