Time wasting fun

I don't have a lot of time to waste, but on occasion I find the time. I was directed to this very fun website yesterday and its serioiusly entertaining. Check out http://similarminds.com and find out which world leader you are most like, among other things. The world leader test is the only one I've taken and I'm not sold on its accuracy. I came out as Gandhi (seriously, stop laughing), so I took it again and came out as JFK. According to this quiz I like power (which I do) because it increases my sexual options (seriously, stop laughing).

Suggestions anyone?

Every now and again I look at my ample CD collection and realize the same thing. Damn, it's sad. Well maybe not sad, but full of sad, angry or down right depressing music. Aside from Bon Jovi and a few others, there's not much there to serve as a pick me up.
Recently I've felt the need for some happy fun music, but can't decide where to look for some (except I know I won't find it on my CD rack). So I'm soliciting suggestions from my music-loving friends for some upbeat music. Help is much appreciated, because I can only dance around to a certain song from a certain former boy band member so many times before I start to feel ridiculous.

They don't make 'em like they used to

I'm a big fan of vintage clothes. I used to do quite a bit of vintage shopping and have some pretty good pieces. The standouts are definitely my brown leather, Donnie Brasco-esque coat and the furry sheepskin. Animal rights activists be damned, dead cows and sheeps are nice and warm. Both of these coats were under $10 and were purchased about nine years ago, both are also still in relatively good condition after many years of significant wear.
Three years ago, I splurged and bought a new leather coat from a well-known leather store, for more than $10. Now, this coat is very beat up. I've worn it a lot in the past three years, it works well in several seasons, which was its purpose. To give you a better description, one of the arms has holes in it, the lining is almost torn to shreds, the leather around one of the buttons has pretty much split (causign the button to disappear beneath the leather), on top of that there is also a fair bit of general wear and tear.
Clearly this means they don't make things like they used to. If my probably 30-year-old coats are still wearale and my 3 year old coat almost needs to be pitched this is a mark of poor, modern craftsmanship.
It's disappointing because not only does it mean I need to get rid of my coat, but also I need to find a new one and I know the new ones suck. I may have to switch to a different fabric. Any suggestions?

My least favourite day of the year

It's no secret that I hate Valentine's Day. I hate all the mushiness, and public displays of affection and all the sappy romance crap, I especially hate all the pink. I do however enjoy eating other people's Valentine's Day candy (I never turn down candy).
Each year I write some grand diatribe about Valentine's Day, but I'll save you that chunk of bitterness this year, I have more important things on my mind, but those won't be in this post either.
As much as I like to eat other people's candy, I also quite like admiring other people's flowers, as long as they're not pink. I've started to like flowers more, I still don't like things that are floral (like dresses, shirts etc.) but flowers are pretty, I got some flowers for my birthday they were pretty. So as I deal with the stress of my every day life I think, 'gee, wouldn't it be nice to get some flowers?' And I don't mean for Valentine's Day, but just any time, maybe I'll buy some myself.
Does anyone want to send me flowers?
